What we do

We improve the quality of care:

  • during pregnancy and childbirth

  • for the newborn infant

  • for children

We achieve better healthcare by strengthening existing health systems in the following ways:

  • working with local health workers to find the best ways to improve healthcare

  • training health workers in the management of emergency healthcare

  • training doctors, nurses, midwives, traditional birth attendants and village health workers

  • encouraging education programmes to provide in-country instructors, thereby

  • achieving a sustainable outcome in the areas where we work

  • developing and distributing free, up-to-date and evidence-based medical teaching materials

  • advocating for improvement with governments to renovate hospitals, provide medical equipment, drugs and supplies for managing emergencies
