Interns

We are currently looking for the next great fundraising intern. Are you:

  • Someone with a vibrant and outgoing personality? 

  • Enthusiastic and approachable?

  • A confident communicator with a wide range of audiences?

  • Passioniate about the work we do at MCAI?

  • Reliable?

  • Ambitious and looking to progress in the charity sector?

 

We are looking for an intern who can committ to spending between two and three full days a week supporting our fundraising department. We see this internship as a way of providing a route for talented graduates into the not for profit sector, hence they are given more responsibility than other voluntary roles but also get more chance to develop existing and new skills.

Non-office volunteers

MCAI has lots of different roles which don't require being based in our offices, you may want to help on one of our street collections, complete a sponsored event for MCAI, or run an event on our behalf, whatever you decided to do you'll be doing it for a great cause.

Office volunteers

These roles are for those who are only able to commit one or two days a week and are useful for those looking to develop or use their administrative, international development or marketing skills in aid of a great cause. 

Spaces are limited, although some periods (such as summer holidays) see less applications than others.

Overseas volunteering -
Honorary Country Directors (HCD)

MCAI doesn't currently offer opportunities to non-medically trained volunteers on its projects (although you may like to do an overseas challenge on our behalf instead!). We do however sometimes have vacancies for Honorary Country Directors. These roles are open to doctors, nurses or midwives.

About the role:
Each Honorary Country Director is responsible for overseeing and supervising programmes in one specific country. A good understanding of project management, including planning, is essential for this role.
