Recycle for better healthcare
Recycling just 10 mobile phones could make a real difference
Mobile phone recycling - for companies or individuals
Do you have a stash of unloved and unwanted mobile phones? Most people in the UK have at least one or two unwanted phones which when recycled can earn MCAI some pounds.
If you have more than 10 mobiles phones email our offices on kelley@mcai.org.uk and we'll arrange a collection via our recycling partners EMC or those with less can send them freepost to EMC Recycling. FREEPOST MID 23462. Burton on Trent. Staffordshire DE14 1BR, remembering to state that you'd like the funds to go to MCAI.
Ink and toner cartridge recycling
MCAI can recycle most toner cartridges and inkjet cartridges.
If you have more than 20 toner cartridges please contact kelley@mcai.org.uk, we will check that they are recyclable and then arrange a collection via our cartridge partners Takeback Limited. If you have less then twenty inkjet cartridges then please email to order some recycling bags, which can be posted to the recycling company free of charge.
Textiles recycling
MCAI works with a volunteer in the Barnsley area who carries out textile collections on our behalf. Any textile collections in the area will clearly be branded with the MCAI logo.
Making a difference
- 10 recycled mobile phones could pay for the equipment a healthcare worker needs to save the lives of seriously ill babies.
- 20 recycled inkjets could pay for a nurse's salary for two weeks, so she can treat those who need her help.
- 1 kilogram of recycled textiles could train a doctor or a nurse in life-long, life-saving skills, so they can care for hundreds of patients in need of emergency care.
