Posted: 26 Jan 2010

MCAI (Maternal and Childhealth Advocacy International) is searching for retired doctors and senior nurses/midwives in the Nottingham area to help with its overseas work. The charity, which works in four countries, hopes to recruit volunteer doctors/nurses to become Honorary Country Directors to help oversee and manage its lifesaving projects (hands-on clinical work optional).

In particular the charity is searching for people who want to help with an emergency maternal, neonatal and child healthcare improvement project currently in The Gambia but likely to start elsewhere in sub-Saharan Africa. The role will include regular international travel and an opportunity to become involved with an ambitious and enthusiastic charity.
